Privacy Notice
ScreenFloat is designed for quick translation on iPhone without creating an account or storing a library of your screen content.
What the app processes
When you start translation, the app reads visible text from the screen so it can show a translated result. Screen capture must be started by you through the iOS permission flow. We do not use hidden recording.
Local and optional cloud translation
The app prefers on-device processing when the device and selected language support it. If a cloud translation route is used, the minimum text needed for that request may be sent over HTTPS to a translation provider and returned to the app.
What we do not sell
We do not sell personal information. We do not build advertising profiles from translated screen text, and we do not ask you to create an account to use the basic app experience.
Diagnostics and app settings
The app may store preferences such as language pairs, window position, and display choices on your device. Crash logs and coarse diagnostics may be collected to fix bugs, but they are not intended to include translated screen content.
Purchases
Subscriptions and payments are handled by Apple. We receive subscription status information from Apple so the app can unlock paid features, but we do not receive your full payment card details.
Website data
The website may receive standard server logs such as page requested, browser type, approximate location from IP address, referrer, and timestamp. These logs are used for security, debugging, and basic site operations.
Your controls
- Stop screen sharing from iOS whenever you want.
- Change or remove permissions in iOS Settings.
- Delete the app to remove local app preferences from the device.
- Manage subscriptions through Apple ID settings.
